Tony’s ambitions as a photographer began early in his life.  As a young teen, he grabbed the family’s point and shoot camera, climbed a tree and snapped some “nature” shots.  His parents were not photography buffs, and so it took some time before that film was developed.  The day the pictures came home, his mother had friends over.  All of them were eager to see the pictures and a few commented on the beautiful nature pictures included with the others.  When Tony found out about this, he was thrilled and felt his dream of being a photographer was becoming a reality.  Assuming he was now a professional, Tony entered the picture in a photo competition.  He was confident that he had shot a “winner” and waited patiently for the results of the competition to be posted.  He was rather dismayed when the results were posted and he found that he had not placed anywhere near the top.  In fact he came in last place.  As much as this would have ruined most people’s ambitions, Tony used that experience to develop and grow his passion for photography.

After graduating from high school, Tony experienced many life changing events.  He graduated from university with a degree in Peace and Conflict Transformation, an education that he feels influenced his artistic vision as much as it influenced his ethical ideas and viewpoints.  He met and married his soul mate and together they have a beautiful, healthy child.  Tony found fulfilment in working with adults living with disabilities.  Again something that is shaping his life, providing a unique sense of awareness: an awareness of the beauty of life, an awareness of the beauty of visual surroundings, an awareness of the moments that define our lives.  It became his goal to capture these moments, to forever have available the images that make memories last forever.
